This policy explains how Jacob's Zoo handles the personal information you share with us.

Who we are

This website is operated by Jacob's Zoo Ltd, Woodland Way, Southampton, Hampshire SO16 0AA. You can contact us by email at hello@jacobszoo.co.uk or by phone on 023 8496 0069.

How we handle enquiry data

When you send an enquiry through a form on this site, we collect the details you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number and message) so that we can respond to you.

  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about visiting the park, and where relevant taking steps to enter into a contract with you (for example a group or school booking).
  • Who processes it:your enquiry is handled by Jacob's Zoo and by Digital Five (using the email service Postmark), who deliver and archive the message on our behalf.
  • The Digital Five archive: a copy of enquiries is retained in a secure Digital Five archive so that messages are not lost in transit. Access is limited to those who need it to run the website and respond to you.
  • Retention: we keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our normal business records.

To ask about the information we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, or to raise a concern, contact us at hello@jacobszoo.co.uk.

Cookies

We use a cookie banner to manage cookies on this site. A strictly necessary cookie runs the site and stores your cookie choices, and cannot be turned off. Our “Visiting” and “Contact” pages embed a Google Map: because Google can set cookies and read your IP address when the map loads, it stays switched off until you allow it through the banner. If we enable analytics to understand how the site is used, that is offered through the same banner. You can change your choices at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, and to ask us to delete it in certain circumstances. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Please check back for the latest version. If you have any questions, get in touch.
